Hands-Only CPR which uses chest compressions is a worldwide accepted alternative form of CPR which is often used by individuals who are unwilling, untrained or cannot perform full CPR. Hence it is commonly used by bystanders when they witness a sudden collapse of an adult in public. The Hands-Only CPR procedure consists of four steps and can help save lives until the ambulance arrives. This form of CPR is just as effective as traditional CPR.
Educational videos
The initiative aims to develop online video modules in many different languages for this purpose which will be readily available to people across the globe by incorporating technology, in the form of a website and a mobile app.
Low cost training
The goal is to use these videos as low-cost training, certification, and skills evaluation tools in both developed and developing countries.
Women empowerment
The project further aims to encourage more women to become leaders in CPR as women in different cultures face barriers with regards to CPR procedures with a male resuscitator.
